Adelaide is the capital of the Australian state of South Australia, ideally located between the Adelaide Hills and Gulf of St. Vincent. Colonel William Light laid the foundations of a well planned city in 1837 and completely surrounded it with a moat of parklands. There are a total of 29 parks attributing to 49% of total city space. Hence, it is often described as the ‘city within a park’. The casual atmosphere and unhurried lifestyle set in a beautiful environment makes it one of the most pleasurable city to visit and stay. |
