Taman Negara or National Park of Malaysia has the world’s oldest tropical rainforests dating back to 130 million years old. It covers 3,343 s. km. of virgin jungle and is home to hundreds of species of wildlife - mammals, birds, fishes and plants. Besides hosting Gunung Tahan, the tallest mountain in Peninsula Malaysia it has also a network of rivers and streams, waterfalls, rapids and coves, mountains, hills and caves. A small number of aboriginal people live in clearings within the jungle. |
