The ruins of Ta Promh was left encroached by the jungle to allow visitors experience some of the feelings of amazement and awe when explorers first stumbled upon this helpless temple entangled in the middle of a ferocious jungle.
It was also another Buddhist temple built in the middle of 12th to 13th century by the ‘builder king’ Jayavarman VII dedicating it to his mother. It was known to be a splendid temple set in a labyrinth style layout of commendable size and the exquisite beauty was maintained by a huge contingent of nearly 80,000 people including priests and dancers during its heyday. |
