Mount  Sorak  or  ‘Snow  Peak  Mountain’  is  within  the  Mount  Sorak  National  Park  and  is  not  just  a  lone  mountain  top  but  a  series  of  peaks  in  the  mid-section  of  the  Daebaek  Sanmaek  or  ‘Great  White  Range’.  The  most  popular  section  of  the  park  is  Outer  Sorak  which  is  east  of  the  mountain  divide,  closest  to  the  East  Sea. 

It  is  a  mountain  wonderland  of  variously  shaped  stone  peaks,  temples,  hermitages,  waterfalls,  hot  springs  and  nature  trails.
